By accessing or using the Services of eDoorways you agree to be bound by these

post, or display will be able to be viewed by other users of the Services
and through third party services and websites . You should only provide Content
that you are comfortable sharing with others under these Terms.

of the Services that eDoorways provides may change from time to time without

Rest assured that we are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, it will only be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
The eDoorways Privacy Policy governs our collection and use of your information. You understand that through your use of the Services you consent to the collection and use (as set forth in the Privacy Policy) of this information, including the transfer of this information to the United States and/or other countries for storage, processing and use by eDoorways. As part of providing you the Services, we may need to provide you with certain communications, such as service announcements and administrative messages. These communications are considered part of the Services and your eDoorways account, which you may not be able to opt-out from receiving.
All Content, whether publicly posted or privately transmitted, is the sole responsibility of the person who first originated such Content. All right, title, and interest in and to the Services (excluding Content provided by users) are and will remain the exclusive property of eDoorways and its licensors. The Services are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the United States and foreign countries. Nothing in the Terms gives you a right to use the eDoorways name or any of the eDoorways trademarks, logos, domain names, and other distinctive brand features. Any feedback, comments, or suggestions you may provide regarding eDoorways, or the Services is entirely voluntary and we will be free to use such feedback, comments or suggestions as we see fit and without any obligation to you.
You retain your rights to any Content you submit, post or display on or through the Services.
You are responsible for your use of the Services, for any Content you provide,
and for any consequences thereof, including the use of your Content by other
users and our third party partners. You understand that your Content may be
rebroadcasted by our partners and if you do not have the right to submit Content
for such use, it may subject you to liability. eDoorways will not be responsible
or liable for any use of your Content by eDoorways in accordance with these
Terms. You represent and warrant that you have all the rights, power and authority
necessary to grant the rights granted herein to any Content that you submit.
eDoorways gives you a personal, worldwide, royalty-free, non-assignable and
non-exclusive license to use the software that is provided to you by eDoorways
as part of the Services. This license is for the sole purpose of enabling you
to use and enjoy the benefit of the Services as provided by eDoorways, in the
manner permitted by these Terms.
We reserve the right at all times (but will not have an obligation) to remove or refuse to distribute any Content on the Services and to terminate users or reclaim usernames. We also reserve the right to access, read, preserve, and disclose any information as we reasonably believe is necessary to (i) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, (ii) enforce the Terms, including investigation of potential violations hereof, (iii) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues, (iv) respond to user support requests, or (v) protect the rights, property or safety of eDoorways, its users and the public.

All claims, legal proceedings or litigation arising in connection with the Services will be brought solely in Travis County, Texas, and you consent to the jurisdiction of and venue in such courts and waive any objection as to inconvenient forum. These Terms, the eDoorways Rules and our Privacy Policy are the entire and exclusive agreement between eDoorways and you regarding the Services (excluding any services for which you have a separate agreement with eDoorways that is explicitly in addition or in place of these Terms), and these Terms supersede and replace any prior agreements between eDoorways and you regarding the Services.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. If the revision, in our sole discretion, is material we will notify you via e-mail to the email associated with your account. By continuing to access or use the Services after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.

Location Information: You may choose to note your location in your chat messages and in your eDoorways profile. You can control your location information in your account setting.

What is eDoorways?
eDoorways is a consumer problem-solving gateway, lifestyle information source, and online business-to-consumer marketplace designed to facilitate the connection between the consumer and the providers of those goods and services who are looking to meet those needs.
Unlike other social networks, eDoorways connect you to like-minded people who maybe outside of your existing social networks. Offering enhanced chat features, eDoorways is also a powerful new way to use our platform for personal broadcasting.
How does eDoorways help answer my questions?
Type your question in the “Search” panel and eDoorways connects you with real people to get real solutions in "real-time". Upon entering your question, eDoorways searches it's data base of Solution Providers whose PowerKeys match your request and delivers a list of users who are available to chat about your question.
To select a user and to send them a chat request, click on the Chat button next to their information. You can select multiple people for any question. Your questions will then show up in your “My Chats” panel. If you select a user that is Offline, they may be notified that you’ve tried to contact them. Leave the question open in your “My Chats” panel and they’ll be able to come into eDoorways at a later time and answer your question.
If you would like to post your question or post a statement for all users to see, enter the question or post in the “Post” panel. Your question or statement will post to the “Chat Stream”. Anyone can view your question from this panel and enter directly into a chat with you.
What is the Chat Stream and what is it for?
The “Chat Stream” is a live stream of all recently posted questions or statements. Any user may see these questions and join a chat with the person who asked the question. Clicking on the Join button launches a new chat so others may offer their expertise and services to help answer this person's questions.
What are PowerKeys?
Searches performed in the “Search” panel will result with Solution Providers based on matches to their PowerKeys. You may select them from the search results and request to chat with them. Solution Providers may also see your question in the Join panel and request to launch a chat with you in order to help answer your question.
PowerKeys are descriptive terms used to describe your goods, services and areas of expertise. When selecting PowerKeys, be as descriptive as possible as this will increase the likelihood of your showing up in searches where you can help users meet their needs.
Once you enter PowerKeys, you will begin to appear in our user's searches as a Solution Provider who can help them with what they are seeking, based on search terms relevant to your PowerKeys. Use your business name, topics of interest or study, product names, services, location, etc. as your PowerKeys and experiment with their effectiveness. PowerKeys are free for the next several months, so try as many as you want.

How do I set up my profile?
You must set up your profile prior to using eDoorways. Edit your profile by selecting (edit) next to My Profile in the top right menu. You may edit any of the information to do with your name, image, business, PowerKeys, etc. Always remember to save your changes.
How can I launch a chat?
Chats may be launched in several ways. By submitting your question in the “Search” panel, you will receive search results with a list of Solution Providers who are either online or offline and have PowerKeys related to your question. Select the Solution Providers you would like to chat with and click the "Chat" button in their listing. This will port your chat into your “My Chats” panel.
In addition, you may launch a chat through the “Chat Stream” panel by selecting a recently asked question and clicking the "Join" button.
How can I tell if a Solution Provider is Online or Offline?
A Solution Provider will have a Red indicator on their avatar within the search results if they are offline. You may select to chat with a Solution Provider if they are online or offline, as notifications will be sent to both when you request to chat with them.
How can I be notified if I'm selected as a Solution Provider and I'm not online?
You may elect to receive notifications if your PowerKeys match a request even if you are offline and a user selects you as Solution Provider to chat with. To choose these notifications, click on Account Settings in the top right menu and select your offline notification preferences.
Why are chats popping up in “My Chats” panel without my initiating the chat?
If chats are showing up in the “My Chats” panel without your requesting to launch a new chat, then the good news is- eDoorways is working! There are two scenarios which would cause a chat to open in “My Chats”. First, a user may have asked a question to which your PowerKeys matched and they selected you as a person to ask.
Or, after you posted a question, someone may have seen your question in the “Chat Stream” panel and launched a chat with you, which would cause it to open directly in your “My Chats” panel. The subject of the chat is displayed on the tab at the top of the conversation.
How can I see other user's profiles?
There are a few ways to view another user's profile. The first is if the user has asked a question that is visible in the “Chat Stream” panel, you can click on their name within the question. Another way to view other user's profiles is from within the “My Chats” panel. Click on the person icon and number on the top right of the panel. This will reveal the participants in the chat and then click on the name of the user to see their profile and all the users within that chat.
I've launched a new chat, why has nobody responded to me?
You may have more success starting a chat by letting others know you are present. Say "hello" or restate your question. Each time you type a message, a sound will notify the user on the other end of the open chat (unless they have specifically turned off this audio notification).
A critical mass of users must be achieved on the site for intended functionality and these users must be present and online to engage in these topics.
What is a Channel?
A Channel is a great way for people with like interests to have an easy way to communicate with each other. Groups or individuals can create channels for a number of uses, for example, Realtors can use a Channel to communicate with clients and potential clients, online tv stations can use a Channel to broadcast and interact with their viewers. There are numerous ways to use eDoorways Channels.
Are my chats public or private?
All chats are currently public on eDoorways. Any users may see your question and enter into a chat already in progress. These chats stay active on the system and are viewable by others until the chat has been closed and has scrolled off the Join panel.
How do I change my display name?
At this time you can change your display name as often as you like. To change your display name, select (edit) next to My Profile in the top right menu and simply edit your display name as you see fit. Be sure to save your changes.
What does Facebook Connect do?
Facebook Connect allows you to login to your existing eDoorways account or create a new one using your Facebook account. You may find & follow your friends on eDoorways who have also used Facebook Connect with eDoorways. And, you may also share with your friends and send them a personal invitation to join you on eDoorways.
How do I link my Facebook account to my eDoorways account?
To link your eDoorways and Facebook accounts, select the Facebook Connect button from the landing page or go to Account Settings, then to the Edit tab, and finally to the Facebook button. You will be prompted to enter your Facebook Username and Password. This will link your eDoorways and Facebook accounts. You may unlink them at anytime and relink with a different account.
How do I invite my friends to join eDoorways through Facebook?
You can post a link to your wall in Facebook along with your own personal message to let your friends know about eDoorways. This feature is in the Edit tab from within Account Settings and click Post under "Share eDoorways with your Friends on your Wall". Future functionality will let you send individual invitations to your Facebook Friends, but this feature is temporarily disabled while Facebook developers are working to resolve an issue that prevents invitations to be received properly.
If I have more than one eDoorways account, how do I change which one is linked to my Facebook account?
Unlink or disconnect an eDoorways account from your Facebook account in the Edit tab from within Account Settings. Click on the Facebook button and select “Unlink”. Then logout and reconnect from your desired eDoorways account.
What does it mean to Follow someone and what does Following and Followers mean?
On eDoorways, your contacts are organized as people who you choose to follow and people who have chosen to follow you. Following someone allows you to see their profile at any time from within your profile’s Following tab. The Followers tab shows you eDoorways users that have chosen to follow you. Future functionality will enable you to view their activity and history on eDoorways and your Followers will also be able to see you and your activity. You will be notified when someone has chosen to follow you.
What does linking with my Twitter account do?
Linking your eDoorways account to your Twitter account allows you to receive eDoorways notifications via Twitter direct messages or @messages instead of e-mails directly from eDoorways. After linking your Twitter account to your eDoorways account, you must change your notification settings from within your Account Settings. After linking your eDoorways account to your Twitter account you will have the ability to view your Twitter posts directly from within eDoorways via your Account Settings, Twitter tab. You may link more than one Twitter account to your eDoorways account.
How do I link my Twitter accounts to my eDoorways account?
To link your eDoorways and Twitter accounts go to Account Settings and select Twitter. Enter your Twitter Username and Password. This will link eDoorways to your Twitter accounts. You may add as many Twitter accounts as you like at anytime to your eDoorways account.
How can I invite other friends outside of Facebook to join eDoorways?
You can invite anyone to join you on eDoorways with Facebook Connect by entering their e-mail addresses. Selecting and inviting your Twitter contacts directly through eDoorways is not a feature that is supported at this time, but we are working on this for release in the near future.
Why can’t I import my Twitter contacts directly to my eDoorways account?
We have just introduced Twitter support and more functionality will be available soon. We are continuing to upgrade these features and will release additional functionality soon.
What are the types of notifications I may receive from eDoorways?
eDoorways notifications will be sent directly to you for chat requests that occur when you are offline, when contacts choose to follow you, and when your password is reset. You may customize your notification preferences within your Account Settings.
Can I leave feedback and suggestions for eDoorways?
Yes! Click the black feedback button on the right edge of your browser window from within the application to leave any comments. We truly want to hear from you so please tell us how we're doing, what you'd like to see next, and how you are using eDoorways.
